We’re happy to greet Miriam Castagna welcome to the RIBES European Training Network. Last week, she has joined RIBES as one of our early stage researchers.

Miriam Castagna will study hydrodynamics of swimming fish. Her project will focus on fundamental aspects of flow-fish interactions using laboratory experiments and employing advanced facilities and instrumentation. She is hosted by University of Aberdeen and will be supervised by Vladimir Nikora, Samuel Martin, Beth Scott, and Stuart Cameron.

Miriam Castagna has a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from University of Padua. The title of her master thesis was “Numerical modelling of extreme runoff in the Piave River at Segusino”.
